Samsung'un MWC'de Galaxy Tab 10.1 ile beraber, Galaxy serisi telefonlarının amiral gemisi olan Galaxy S II'yi tanıttı.
Samsung'un söylediğine göre bu telefondan bulunan Super AMOLED Plus ekran dünyadaki en iyi ekranmış ve şu an piyasada ona rakip olabilecek LCD IPS ekranlardan performans olarak çok üstünmüş.
4.3 WVGA kapasitif ekranı olan telefonda, çift çekirdekli 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 işlemci kullanılmış.Samsung kendi geliştirdiği Orion çip sistemi üzerine kurduğu bu işlemci için de çok iddialı zira mevcut mobile telefonlardaki işlemciler arasında dünyadaki en güçlü mobil işlemci olduğunu söylüyor.Telefonda ayrıca 1 GB DDR2 ram mevcut.
Samsung Galaxy S II'nin 8 Mp kamerası 1080p video kaydediyor ve ön kamerası da 2 MP.
Şimdilik HDMI çıkışı olup olmadığıyla ilgili bir açıklama yok ve böyle bir telefona HDMI çıkışı koyulmazsa yazık olur açıkçası.
